Make Bhutan your next story

We discount the trip. You make the content. Every booking you drive is tracked and credited to you.

Bhutan photographs well, but it also gives you something rarer than a good shot: a story with substance. Tiger's Nest at first light, a Tshechu festival with the whole valley out in dress, a night in a farmhouse in Bumthang. We would rather work with creators who genuinely want to go than buy a caption.

How the collaboration works

Two things combine: you travel at a discount, and you earn on the bookings your content drives. Neither replaces the other — the discount is the invitation, the affiliate tracking is the return.

Creator tiers

Tier 1 · Emerging

10k – 50k followers

Travel, photography or wellness accounts with real engagement and a body of work we can look at.

25%off the land component, plus 4% on bookings driven

Tier 2 · Established

50k – 250k followers

Creators with an audience that actually books travel, not just watches it.

50%off the land component, plus 6% on bookings driven

Tier 3 · Hosted

250k+ or a strong niche

Hosted trip for one or two, fully hosted for the right fit — with a shooting schedule we plan together.

Hostedland component covered, plus 8% on bookings driven

Engagement matters more than follower count. A 30k account with a 6% engagement rate and an audience that books is worth more to us than 500k passive impressions. Micro-creators in travel, photography, wellness and culture niches are where most of our collaborations have landed.

What you get beyond the discount

  • A trip worth filming. Itineraries are built around light, access and rhythm — not a coach tour. Pre-dawn Tiger's Nest, private monastery access where it can be arranged, festival timing if your dates allow.
  • A dedicated coordinator in Thimphu who handles permits, guides and logistics so your attention stays on the work.
  • Tracking that works. A personal affiliate code and UTM-tracked links feeding into our booking CRM, so every enquiry and booking is attributed to you.
  • A media kit with our photography, destination facts, SDF and permit detail, and approved brand language — so you are not hunting for basic facts.
  • Content you can keep. We ask for agreed deliverables; we do not claim ownership of what you make.

What we ask

  • Agreed deliverables before travel: typically a set of feed or video pieces plus stories, and a written or vlogged account with a clear booking link.
  • Disclosure, always. The trip is gifted or discounted and must be labelled as such under FTC, ASA or your local rules. Undisclosed sponsorship is a fast way to end the relationship.
  • Accuracy. Bhutan has real rules — SDF, permits, licensed guides, dress at monasteries. We will give you the facts; we ask that the content keeps them.
  • A booking link that converts. Your audience needs somewhere to go. We build a co-branded landing page for each collaboration so the traffic has a destination.

What makes a good fit

  • Travel and adventure creators
  • Photography and cinematography accounts (Bhutan is genuinely exceptional for both)
  • Wellness, yoga, meditation and mindfulness voices
  • Culture, history and spirituality accounts
  • Luxury and slow-travel creators
  • Trekking, wildlife and nature accounts

Realistic expectations

We are a destination with a high trip cost and a long consideration window — people do not book a Bhutan trip on impulse from one reel. Most collaborations generate their bookings over the six to twelve months that follow, not the week after posting. We track it properly and report it back to you.

How to start

  1. Send your channels and a note about why Bhutan, not just that you want a free trip.
  2. We review fit — audience, engagement, content quality and whether we can build a trip worth your time.
  3. We propose terms: tier, dates, deliverables, affiliate arrangement.
  4. Travel. Your coordinator handles the rest.

Creator programme questions

Do you pay cash for posts?

Generally no. The programme is built on discounted or hosted travel plus an affiliate commission on bookings your content drives. For exceptional reach we will discuss a paid campaign separately.

How are bookings attributed to me?

You get a personal affiliate code and UTM-tracked links that feed into our booking CRM, so every enquiry and booking carries your attribution and we report it back to you.

Do I have to disclose the collaboration?

Yes, always. The trip is discounted or gifted and must be labelled as such under FTC, ASA or your local regulations. We will not work with undisclosed sponsorship.

Is the Sustainable Development Fee included in the discount?

No. The SDF is a government levy passed through at cost. Creator discounts apply to the land component only.

What size audience do I need?

There is no hard floor. Engagement and fit matter more than follower count — micro-creators with a genuinely booking-oriented audience are welcome to apply.
